A message from our LPOSD Elementary school counselors:
Over the last several weeks of school, during classroom social-emotional Second Step lessons, students have been learning how to recognize signs of strong emotions in their bodies, name those feelings, and calm down strong emotions. During these uncertain times, many students and families may be experiencing strong emotions. If you are looking for resources to help support your child during this time away from school families can go online to find free resources and activities to support Second Step at home using the Home Links.
Some of the free materials available include • Early learning storybooks for all units • Activities for families to do at home • Mind Yeti mindfulness sessions • ParentTeen Connect • Imagine Neighborhood Podcast NEW
To access those resources:
1. Go to www.secondstep.org
2. Under New Users, click “Create Account”
3. Complete the required fields
4. Add Program Activation Key: SSPE FAMI LY68
