A message from our LPOSD Elementary school counselors:
Over the last several weeks of school, during classroom social-emotional Second Step lessons, students have been learning how to recognize signs of strong emotions in their bodies, name those feelings, and calm down strong emotions. During these uncertain times, many students and families may be experiencing strong emotions. If you are looking for resources to help support your child during this time away from school families can go online to find free resources and activities to support Second Step at home using the Home Links.
Some of the free materials available include • Early learning storybooks for all units  • Activities for families to do at home  • Mind Yeti mindfulness sessions • ParentTeen Connect  • Imagine Neighborhood Podcast NEW

A GREAT day for Student Led Conferences!

We love Student Led Conferences for so many reasons!  But mostly because we get to see how proud our students are to show their parents (YOU) how much they are learning and how much they are OWNING their learning. Yahoo!

Thank You to everyone who came on Friday, March 6th, to Student Led Conference Day.   If you missed it, please call the school and we are happy to find a time for you and your child/ren to reschedule.

If you were here on Friday and you completed the Parent Engagement Survey in our Computer Tech Lab, we greatly appreciate the extra time you spent letting us know how you feel about our little school.   We held the drawing for the those that took the survey and the five winners are:

  1. Alicia Larsen
  2. Brandi Nobel
  3. Lauren Long
  4. Alyssa Blankenship
  5. Shannon Cunningham

If you missed the survey, feel fee to complete the Parent Engagement Survey here.   The deadline to complete the survey is March 31, 2020.

Many thanks!

We are SUPER proud of Leslie who is participating in an internship with SOLE for her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and her minor in Outdoor Leadership.  She will graduate in May 2020 and who knows what's in store for her next.  We are sure it will be GRAND!

We thank her and SOLE for a wonderful day of Snow Science and Snow Safety learning for our fifth grade students.  What a beautiful day to be outside in the snow and sunshine!!!

Parent Engagement Survey @ Student Led Conferences ~ March 6, 2020

March 5, 2020

Dear Parents,

Between now and March 31st there is a  Parent Engagement Survey that we would LOVE for you to complete.  This survey is required by the Idaho State Department of Education and its purpose is to help us improve.   Your responses are anonymous and confidential. The survey should take about 10 minutes. The overall results become part of the Hope School Report Card published annually by the Idaho State Department of Education and available for all to review.   If you complete the survey at Hope School while attending your child/ren’s Student Led Conference, you can enter to win one of five prizes. Your time is incredibly valuable so we are making our Computer Lab available to you during the conferences. This survey is important to us so we can make improvements based upon your feedback.  Please let us know how you feel about our school and the education your child is receiving.

The prizes are in the form of gift certificates:
$40 Bonner Mall Cinema (2 separate prizes of $40 each)
$40 Ice House Pizza
$40 Davis Grocery and Mercantile
$40 Clark Fork Pantry.

The drawing will take place at the end of the day (3/6) and you do not need to be present to win. If you win, we will call you.

Again, thank you for your time and consideration.
