"Student Teachers" in Kindergarten
Three 6th grade students had the opportunity to teach the kindergarten students about "teen" numbers in Math today. The 6th graders planned the lesson and then delivered the 15 minute math lesson to small groups of Kinder students. When the 6th graders were asked what they noticed about teaching the little kids they all said, "it's hard to keep them focused." The 6th graders realized teaching can be really fun but it's not easy! However, they all said they would LOVE to teach kinder students again. The student teachers are: Emmie Sue, Chase and Lakota.
