The picture below is of 1st grade and their research projects. The first-grade students did research on an ocean animal. They created an art project that looks like a window portal into the ocean. They took their research and wrote an informational book on their animal. The book has a table of contents and a glossary. They are all authors. Well done 1st graders!

Books, Books, And More Books!
Here are of our 1st- through 3rd-grade students with this month's Book Trust book order. Book Trust is a National Scholastic Program that puts $7.00 worth of books into our Kindergarten through 3rd-grade students each month. The program is LOCALLY supported (private donations and grants). The non-profit organization that writes the grants and collects private donations is Village Green. Tuesday, November 28th is Giving Tuesday and this program will be featured on Facebook for raising funds. All funds will be matched by the Gates Foundation. Please check out the Facebook Page.
